Plugin: Ninja Forms
Ninja forms is a fully customizable plugin designed to make capturing buyer leads for your site a breeze. It effortlessly integrates with WordPress to create stylish forms that capture important information from potential clients.
Getting Started with Ninja Forms
After site setup, you will already have 2 preset forms: Contact Us and Stay Updated.
Head over to Ninja Forms > Dashboard on the left-hand side of your WordPress admin panel to check these out.
Editing Ninja Forms
Simply click on the form name and you will be taken to the customization page.
Contact Me Form
The contact me form is simple. Information such as name, email, message and the submit button are already set up.
If you want to edit, duplicate or delete one of these elements, hover over the settings symbol and the symbols to delete or duplicate the field will appear.
The edit option opens up a panel on the right giving you countless options to customize the type of data you would like people to input into your form.
In this example, we duplicated the name field on the form and renamed them under the edit tab to First Name and Last Name
There are several other tabs to help tailor the type of information you receive:
Restrictions allow you to limit the number of characters or words in each field.
Display helps you edit any help text and description of your fields.
Advanced allows you to add placeholder text in the field as well as add HTML attributes to your field.
Administration allows you to add custom keys to identify that specific field in your Ninja Forms account.

Stay Updated Form
The stay updated form has a lot more options you may wish to edit.
Editing, however, is done in the exact same way as we showed above.
We understand that many of you will only be selling land in select states, rather than all 50. Therefore under the section “Where do you want to own land?”, you have the option to add or remove any locations you don’t sell land in. This means that the leads you get will be relevant and easier to convert.
To remove a state, simply go to the settings icon and click on the ‘X’ next to any locations you wish to remove.
As this form is fully customizable, you don’t necessarily have to use states for the location. If you sell land in just one state specifically, you may wish to change the data to show counties instead.
You can either edit the existing text or delete them as above and create a new location.
To add a new location, simply select the button.
Styling Ninja Forms
In order to change the styling of your Ninja forms, you will be required to install an add on at an additional cost. You can learn more about this here.
The Get Notified Button
The Get Notified button at the top of your website will automatically redirect your reader to the ‘Stay Updated’ ninja form.
The potential buyer simply fills out their preferred location they want to own land, where they heard about you, and their name and email address, so that you can later target them with email marketing campaigns.
Collecting Emails and Targeting Clients
Once a potential client has put in their email details you will be notified via email yourself.
It’s best to integrate your Ninja Forms with an email marketing campaign provider such as Mail Chimp or Get Response; we prefer the former when you’re first starting out as they have a free subscription.
These providers will store your potential clients' email addresses, allow you to categorize them into appropriate groups and send them marketing emails accordingly.
